Every summer we build a team of fifteen to twenty people to bring in the blueberry harvest. Outdoors, in a small team, properly trained and properly paid.

Hand-picking blueberries into 1kg containers and re-packing the fruit into customer punnets. Full training given — most people are up to speed within a couple of days.

Why join us
Compared with most fruit picking jobs, blueberries are one of the easiest crops to work. No thorns, almost no bending, and fruit that comes away cleanly once you have the knack.
You will be in the open air from eight in the morning, in one of the quieter corners of Dorset, with the coast half an hour away on your day off.
Everyone is paid by the hour, and there is a bonus on top once you are picking above 2.5kg an hour — and a bigger one above 4kg.
Fifteen to twenty people, mostly working in pairs. People come back year after year, and a lot of them meet their summer here.
This is a certified organic farm that has been growing the same crop on the same ground since 1951. The fruit you pick goes out under your care.
Our experienced pickers will show you how it is done. Bring the determination and you can be earning well within a few days.
Two weeks or ten — tell us what you can do when you apply and we will build the rota around the crop.
Pay
Everyone gets an hourly rate. On top of that, there is a picking bonus paid on the weight you produce each day — so as you get faster, you earn more for the same hours.

Your daily weights and bonus are tracked in the worker app, so you can see exactly where you are at the end of every day.
Most people start somewhere around 2kg an hour and climb from there over the first week. The bonus is designed so that improvement shows up in your pay straight away rather than at the end of the season.
The hourly rate is not a target you have to hit — it is what you are paid regardless. The bonus is additional.

How to apply
Everything goes through our worker app. Tell us your dates, your age band and how to reach you.
The farm office reviews applications as they come in and will contact you about start dates and what we can offer.
Before your first day we need to see your original documents proving you can work in the UK. No documents, no start — there is no way around this.
You will be shown how to pick, how to grade and how to pack, then paired up with someone on a row. Your weights start showing in the app the same day.
The 2026 season has finished. We will be hiring again in April 2027, for a season that runs early July to September.

Already on the team?
Current and returning harvest staff use the worker app for shift times, daily picking weights and bonus calculations, payslips, and messages from the farm office. If you worked with us last season, your account is still there.
